About the Conference
It is such a blessing and privilege to bring to you the eleventh annual Devoted Hearts Conference on April 21-22, 2017. We are amazed how God orchestrates all of the details of this conference every year, and how He draws each of you here. As always, it is our commitment to bring to you a quality conference full of practical Bible teaching and powerful worship.
Our 2017 Conference Theme: "My Story, His Glory"
Devoted Hearts is pleased to welcome to this year's conference guest speakers Margaret Feinberg and Karen Kingsbury, and musical artist Mark Schultz. Through the spoken word or musical lyrics, each of these are committed to telling the ageless story of God's great love for us through His son, Jesus.
Throughout scripture, we are given the stories of people from ages past. Paul, in his letter to the Romans tells us, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." Like them, all of us have a story that describes our life. For some of us, the story may seem to some to be a fairy tale where we have "lived happily ever after". For others, the story may be one of sorrow, suffering, or dreams that never became reality. Regardless of the circumstances, God wants to use our story to bring hope and encouragement to others.
Throughout the weekend, we will take a fresh look at how God uses even the difficulties of life to write our story and use it for His glory. Margaret Feinberg will teach us what it means to "fight back with joy" when our story includes trials. We will learn from Karen Kingsbury, who says she is "certain that when God puts a story on my heart, He has your heart in mind". Mark Schultz is a master story-teller through song. He will lead us in worship, and tell us the stories behind the songs he sings like "Letters from War, "He's my Son", "Remember Me", "Walking Her Home" and many others.
At the end of the weekend, we pray that with the hymn writer you will be able to joyfully sing "This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long". And more importantly, with the Psalmist be able to declare "Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness" Psalm 115:1

What we believe
Vision/Purpose: To evangelize to those who do not know Jesus as their Savior; to encourage women who are already saved to keep on "fighting the good fight" and to equip all women to open God's Word for their source of truth and wisdom in daily living.
Doctrinal Stance: Devoted Hearts is an evangelical organization. We believe in salvation by faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ through personal conversion. We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons. We believe in the authority of scripture and that the Bible is the Word of God, without error and written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the universal church and that the local church has the primary task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world. We believe that all Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others, and that their conduct should be blameless before the world.
