About the Conference
It is such a blessing and privilege to bring to you the twelfth annual Devoted Hearts Conference on April 27-28, 2018. We are amazed how God orchestrates all the details of this conference every year, and how He draws each of you here. As always, it is our commitment to bring to you a quality conference full of practical Bible teaching and powerful worship.
Our 2018 Conference Theme: "An Unlikely Joy"
Devoted Hearts is pleased to welcome to this year's conference guest speaker Lisa Harper, speaker and storyteller Karen Abercrombie, and musical artist and speaker, Laura Story.
As we go through life, many of us encounter the unexpected; the unexpected illness, the unexpected end to a marriage, the unexpected loss of a job, the unexpected death of a loved one, and many more. What is our response to be when these occur? Do we renounce our faith in a compassionate Creator-Redeemer, or do we live a surrendered life, knowing that God is good and He does good even when life feels incredibly bad?
Throughout the weekend, Lisa Harper will help us look at the engaging and inimitable story of the life of Job. Laura Story will share with us through her gift of music, but also give us practical steps (filled with humor, authenticity, and vulnerability) on how to walk the journey of life, and give glory to God, even when life doesn't turn out how we hoped or expected it would. Joining Lisa and Laura will be Karen Abercrombie. Karen played Miss Clara in the movie "The War Room", and will speak to us through her gift of storytelling.

What we believe
Vision/Purpose: To evangelize to those who do not know Jesus as their Savior; to encourage women who are already saved to keep on "fighting the good fight" and to equip all women to open God's Word for their source of truth and wisdom in daily living.
Doctrinal Stance: Devoted Hearts is an evangelical organization. We believe in salvation by faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ through personal conversion. We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons. We believe in the authority of scripture and that the Bible is the Word of God, without error and written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the universal church and that the local church has the primary task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world. We believe that all Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others, and that their conduct should be blameless before the world.
